BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Ronald Jamierson of Battle Creek is back home from the hospital over a week after he was shot and injured outside The Base Bar and Grill in Springfield.
Jamierson is a youth basketball coach and says the damage to his leg will be something he has to live with forever.
He says about a third of one of his calf muscles had to be removed and was told in the hospital that if he and a friend wouldn’t have been stopped for speeding on their way to the hospital that he likely would have bled to death.
The officer put a tourniquet on Jamierson’s leg and took them to the hospital.
He is calling for people to put their guns down.
