KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two 19-year-old Kalamazoo residents are in the Kalamazoo County Jail on several illegal weapon offenses charges.
The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team, Kalamazoo Metro SWAT, and Kalamazoo Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant on Tuesday in the 100 block of North Kendall Avenue in Kalamazoo Township.
Police arrested the first 19-year-old in the 6000 block of West Main Street, and the second was found inside the home during the raid.
Two Glock firearms were found, both equipped with a switch device to turn them into fully automatic handguns. A third firearm was also seized and that was reported stolen to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office in July of this year.
The names of the teenagers have not been released.
