MARSHALL, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – After serving as CEO of the Battle Creek Association of Realtors since 2017, Amanda Lankerd has been selected as the new CEO of the Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance.
Lankerd begins her new job Novemver 30, replacing James Durian, who left to pursue other opportunities.
Before heading up the Battle Creek realtors group, Lankerd managed Marshall Economic Development for Battle Creek Unlimited, working on business retention, expansion and investment attraction.

The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance says Lankerd will lead efforts to create jobs and attract visitors, residents, and businesses. She will work on continued development of the Marshall Area Jobs, Opportunity, and Recreation Campus, which has brought hundreds of construction workers to the area and already employs more than 500 people at Ford’s BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. That facility is expected to create 1,700 jobs.
Lankerd also serves as president of the Marshall Public Schools Board of Education and is on the Calhoun County Planning Commission.
