EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – USA Today reports former Michigan State University football coach Mel Tucker offered money to Brenda Tracy in an attempt to get her sexual harassment complaint against him dropped.
MSU fired Tucker in 2023 after Tracy filed a sexual misconduct complaint in December 2022, saying he masturbated without her consent while the two were on a phone call.
She is a sexual assault awareness speaker who had been brought in by the coach to teach the Spartan football players about sexual violence.
Tucker first offered her $25,000 and after that offered her an undisclosed amount of money, undergo sexual harassment training and pay for a national public service announcement highlighting the issue.
