DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The price for a gallon of gas has skyrocketed 62¢ from last week to $4.93 on average in the state.
Triple-A Michigan says the price is up 72¢ from last month, up a $1.75 from last year, and it’s at a new high for 2026.
A full 15-gallon tank costs $74 on average, which is up $23 from last year’s high set in August.
Michigan’s highest price is in Ann Arbor at $4.97, and the lowest price is in Marquette at $4.79.
In southwest Michigan, Calhoun County has the lowest average price at $4.89, followed by Berrien County at $4.91, Van Buren County at $4.92, Allegan and Cass counties at $4.93, Kalamazoo County at $4.94, St. Joseph County at $4.95, and Barry County at $4.99.
