GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The twin brothers who were acquitted of charges in the plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020 are suing Attorney General Dana Nessel, federal, state, and local law enforcement for constitutional rights violations.
The federal lawsuit was filed Tuesday by Michael Null of Plainwell and William Null of Shelbyville.
They say in the lawsuit that police and prosecutors manufactured the case through paid informants and attorney Stefanie Lambert says the Null brothers haven’t been “able to restore their lives and business following the acquittal.”
Fourteen men were charged in the case.
