Aug 17 (Reuters) – L3Harris Technologies on Monday named Sam Mehta chief executive officer, effective immediately, after Christopher Kubasik left following a board investigation into conduct the company said was inconsistent with its code of conduct.
The defense contractor’s shares fell 3% before the bell.
The company said the board determined that Kubasik had engaged in conduct inconsistent with L3Harris’ values as outlined in its code of conduct.
Mehta led the company’s Space & Mission Systems and Communications & Spectrum Dominance segments, which comprise approximately 80% of the company’s total revenue.
He joined L3Harris in 2023. Before that, he was president of advanced structures at Collins Aerospace, a unit of RTX, for four years.
