Japan’s economy expands annualised 1.1% in April-June

TOKYO, Aug 17 (Reuters) – Japan’s economy ​expanded ‌an annualised 1.1% in the ‌April-June ​quarter, ⁠government data ⁠showed on Monday, compared with a ​median market ⁠forecast ⁠for a ​2.0% increase.

The ​rise in gross ‌domestic product (GDP) translated into ⁠a quarterly increase of 0.3%, ⁠compared ‌with ⁠a ​median ‌estimate of ​a 0.5% ⁠increase.
