WASHINGTON, DC (WKZO AM/FM) – The state of Michigan’s appeal for tornado disaster aid from the storms that produced four twisters March 6th has been denied by FEMA.
The U.S. Small Business Administration, however, says the denial does not mean people impacted by the tornadoes in Branch, Cass and St. Joseph counties don’t have options for help.
The SBA has low-interest loans available for homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofits who suffered damage from the storms.
People have until August 28th to apply for one of those loans.
