PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Parents in Portage are upset by the Portage Public Schools plan to relocate Moorsbridge Elementary School students next year.
The district says the plan is part of their Build the Future of Learning Elementary Bond approved by voters in 2021 and 2025.
Moorsbridge Elementary would be renovated with a new layout, better security, adding a kitchen and adding air conditioning.
The construction firm says adding air conditioning cannot be done in pieces.
School board president Randy Van Antwerp says the comments will be taken into consideration.
