KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office says the death of 18-year-old Amaure’ Harris was specifically targeted.
Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Williams wouldn’t disclose what led them to that belief, but adds they don’t have to prove a motive under state law.
20-old Markeet Primer is charged with killing her on September 28th at Fox Ridge Apartments.
Prosecutors and police say Harris was killed in retaliation for the death the day before of Primer’s mother, 49-year-old Latraysa Brown.
18-year-old Cedric Gunn is charged with Brown’s murder.
