BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek police have seized 67 illegal guns in the last six months.
Officers say many of the residents they seized the weapons from were under 20-years-old.
That includes the most recent, a 16-year-old boy who was arrested Thursday with a loaded handgun in his waistband when he was in a vehicle with four other teenagers.
Of the 67 guns seized, 10 were reported stolen and one was a fully-automatic gun.
