May 22 (Reuters) – Tesla is recalling 14,575 Model Y SUVs in the U.S., over a missing certification label with weight specifications, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.
Tesla will inspect and install the label on affected cars, NHTSA said.
The auto safety regulator added that the absence of a weight specification certification label may lead to customers overloading these cars, which in turn “increases the risk of a crash.”
There were no reports of any collisions, fatalities, or injuries due to the issue, according to NHTSA.
