KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three teenagers have been arrested by Kalamazoo Public Safety for an attempted robbery in the 1000 block of Interfaith Boulevard.
The victim told officers they were held at gunpoint by two suspects during the attempt around 1 a.m. on May 7th and their vehicle was found within the hour at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Sherwood Avenue.
Two suspects are in the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home on charges of assault with intent to rob while armed, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm. They are 15 and 17-year-old boys.
The other suspect, 18-year-old Jaylyn Colbert, is in the Kalamazoo County Jail on the same charges along with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. His bond was set at $500,000.
Police seized one 9mm semi-automatic pistol that was reported stolen in Arizona, an AR-style pistol, and high-capacity magazines and ammunition.
