KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Ousted Kalamazoo Township treasurer Sherine Miller is asking the township clerk to remove her name from the primary election ballot in August.
Miller last week said she was running to get her office back after she resigned last month, but cited her legal battle over her candidacy for making the request.
In the letter, she says the township’s intention “to begin immediate legal action challenging my right to be on the ballot, and the uncertainty that any such legal action would create” led to her latest action.
Township Supervisor David Combs says her request has come too late and they will move forward with the legal action.
