BATH TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – New information about last month’s deadly plane crash in Bath Township has been released by the National Transportation Safety Board.
Investigators say the three-man crew decided “to perform the post-maintenance stall test themselves” instead of hiring experience test pilots for that.
The plane had undergone routine maintenance at Duncan Aviation at the Battle Creek Executive Airport from March to September and needed to have the post-maintenance stall test flight before returning to service.
The crash killed the captain, co-pilot, and mechanic, all from Mexico.
