KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A number of mental health service and substance abuse recovery providers in southwest Michigan are receiving additional federal grant funding.
Congressman Bill Huizenga announced the grants Wednesday, including a $500,000 grant to Integrated Services of Kalamazoo, formerly known as the Community Mental Health Board, which provides mental health and substance abuse services for Kalamazoo County. The grant comes through Project TIEH (Treatment for Individuals Experiencing Homelessness).
OnPoint, a certified community behavioral health clinic in Allegan County, and Van Buren Community Mental Health in Paw Paw are each receiving $1,000,000 grants.
Huizenga says, “These federal grants will help improve outcomes, strengthen resources, and enhance recovery support for individuals, families, and communities throughout Southwest Michigan.”
