COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The former Comstock Township superintendent who was fired by the township board two weeks ago had sought to get out of his contract last year, citing a hostile workplace.
Scott Hess was fired without cause and will receive a payout of over $412,000.
Attorneys in the 66-page report from 2025 say Hess’ claims that the work environment was hostile has merit.
He requested to negotiate a contract buyout on February 24th, 2025.
He had issues with township treasurer Sandy Bloomfield, who called the report “a localized weapon of mass distraction.”
