Rx Kids expands in Jackson, Kalamazoo, Muskegon counties

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Rx Kids is now available to more communities in Jackson, Kalamazoo, and Muskegon counties.

The program gives pregnant women $1,500 and then $500 a month for up to the first year of their child’s life.

The nation’s first-ever community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program is now available in the cities of Galesburg, Jackson, Muskegon, and Muskegon Heights, and Blackman, Oshtemo, and Wakeshma townships.

Rx Kids director Dr. Mona Hanna says it is “reimagining what it means to care for families.”
