ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 27, 2026) – Charges have been filed against a 44-year-old Gobles area woman stemming from the death of a 52-year-old man last Wednesday night.
On Monday, Jennifer Dana Moore was arraigned before 57th District Court Magistrate Meredith Biedler on one count of open murder. She was ordered held without bond pending a preliminary hearing.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence off of Baseline Road near Hillside Drive, east of M-40 in Cheshire Township, shortly after 10 PM on April 22nd. It is alleged that Moore called 911, saying that she had shot her boyfriend, Joseph Wayne Worley. When first responders arrived, they found the victim dead from a single gunshot wound to the back of the head, and took the suspect into custody.
The matter remains under investigation.
