TALLADEGA, AL (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage native Carson Hocevar held off a late push from Chris Buescher to earn a victory at Talladega Superspeedway.
The driver of the number-77 car captured the checkered flag in the Jack Link’s 500 for his first-career NASCAR Cup Series win. Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott and Zane Smith rounded out the top-five finishers.
The field heads to Texas Motor Speedway next Sunday for the Wurth 400.
