KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Wolverines’ national championship in men’s basketball this week was a tremendous victory, but Kalamazoo has a team with a far more impressive winning record.
The girl’s swim and dive team at Loy Norrix High School was introduced and honored at this week’s Kalamazoo Public Schools board meeting after another winning season.
Loy Norrix athletic director Andrew LeBoe says their record is truly remarkable.
He says it’s taken a lot of dedication, discipline, and spirit to string together six perfect seasons.
Ten of the seniors were also all-state academically, and the entire team’s grade point average was all-state.
Many of the 30-member team could not make the meeting because they are involved in other spring sports.
