DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran have caused the average gas price in Michigan to shoot up by 56¢ a gallon in the past week.
AAA Michigan says the average price is now up to $3.55, up 72¢ in the last month and 51¢ more than last year.
The price is now the highest it’s been since August 2024.
The highest price is in Saginaw at $3.65, and Marquette has the lowest price at $3.40.
A 15-gallon tank costs $53 on average in Michigan.
In southwest Michigan, gas prices are lowest in Berrien and Calhoun counties at $3.57, followed by Cass County at $3.60, St. Joseph County at $3.61, Allegan County at $3.62, Kalamazoo and Van Buren counties at $3.64, and Barry County at $3.69.
