CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 56-year-old Calhoun County man has claimed a Fantasy 5 jackpot of just over $280,000 from the Michigan Lottery.
He chose to remain anonymous when he claimed the prize at lottery headquarters and bought the ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.
The winner tells Lottery officials he will pay bills, help his kids, and save the rest of the money.
He won October 21 and says he checked his email that night and found one about claiming a prize, and realized it was different from the normal ‘your winnings have arrived’ email.
He says he normally plays one draw game ticket a day between Fantasy 5, Powerball, and Lotto 47.
