ZEELAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Zeeland is considering allowing alcohol sales on Sunday.
City Manager Tim Klunder says at least one restaurant has told city officials they would expand to be open on Sunday if they can sell beer, wine, and liquor.
Zeeland lifted its prohibition on the sale of alcohol almost 20 years ago but remains one of the few dry communities in Ottawa County on Sunday.
Klunder says they are reviewing if they would also allow the social district to operate on Sunday if the move is made.
