LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – State officials are looking at their next steps after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced it is ending the $7-billion Solar for All grant program.
Michigan was obligated to receive just over $156-million from the grants for rooftop solar, community solar, energy storage, and more.
Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy director Phil Roos is working with the Attorney General’s office on what to do now.
He says the program would cut energy costs for families by $400 on average and would create 700 jobs.
