Journey of Hope is organized by The Ability Experience. The group stopping in Kalamazoo has 31 cyclists and seven crew members, and is one of two Journey of Hope teams riding different routes across the country.
Averaging 75 miles per day, they are cycling from San Francisco to Washington, D.C., and they say they are dedicating their summer to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through grant funding and community engagement.
Combined with corporate sponsorships, the 2025 Journey of Hope teams will raise more than $450,000 for people with disabilities across the nation.
