CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The state’s Southwest Enforcement Team has arrested two Battle Creek men after officers seized about a pound of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Tuesday.
Both men had been under investigation for several months and detectives conducted several undercover purchases of heroin, fentanyl, and meth. They are accused of dealing the drugs in Branch, Calhoun, and St. Joseph counties.
The suspects had ripped open a bag of meth and it completely covered the front of the vehicle.
Detectives also executed a search warrant at a home in Springfield Township on Avenue A on Wednesday.
The suspects are 37 and 42-years-old. They are held in the Calhoun County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver meth, and resisting and obstructing police – tampering with evidence and evidence destruction.
Detectives will also be requesting additional charges based on the numerous undercover buys.
