CENTREVILLE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – St Joseph County authorities are seeking a suspect in connection with two suspected homicides.
Sturgis police were summoned to a residence on South Centerville Road near South Street in the city of Sturgis Friday, August 5 on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 39-year-old woman with a shotgun wound. The victim later died of her injuries.
Further investigation identified a possible suspect in the shooting as 30 year old David Algarin, Jr.
The suspect was seen driving a black 1999 Honda CR-V, Michigan license plate BUS661.
Later in the day, sheriff’s deputies were called to a house in the 3100 block of US 31, on a report that the suspect might be there.
Algarin was not there, but deputies discovered a 61-year-old man inside the house who had been shot, and who was deceased.
Algarin is considered armed and dangerous, and members of the public are urged not to approach him should he be seen.
