HEATH TWP., MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – One man was killed and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle, head-on crash southeast of Hamilton Saturday.
Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Kyle Baker didn’t disclose any names as deputies and other first responders were dispatched to Lincoln Road (M-40) near 127th Avenue shortly before 4:00 p.m. That was where a southbound sedan, attempting to pass a slower vehicle ahead of it, slammed into a northbound pickup truck.
The sedan driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office, while the pickup motorist had to be extricated by rescue workers and flown to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
No other details were immediately revealed by Baker as the crash remains under investigation.
