KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The start of the next school year is still half a year away, but Kalamazoo Public Schools officials will begin their enrollment drive for the fall trimester this week.
Parents this Friday will receive the Letter of Intent form they need to make sure their children reserve a spot in the school of their choosing.
Interim Superintendent Cindy Green says parents have until March 27 to submit them.

Wednesday, March 8, KPS will hold orientation sessions and tours at all their elementary schools for parents and their preschoolers who want to get their academic careers started.
The sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
For the first time since The Kalamazoo Promise was announced enrollment for Kalamazoo Public Schools has declined, with officials say it is due partly to the COVIC-19 pandemic, but also because of a declining birth rate.
