GALESBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A collision between two semi-trucks on I-94 near Galesburg left westbound lanes in the area shut down for part of Sunday evening.
The first reports of the crash, which happened a mile and a half west of the 35th Street exit, came in at around 7:00 p.m.. Westbound traffic on I-94 was being diverted at that exit while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
There’s no word yet on what caused the crash, but photos from the scene showed extensive damage to both semi-trucks. There have also been no reports on any potential injuries to those involved. M-DOT reported that all lanes were reopened to traffic at around 9:00 p.m..
A second crash was reported in the same area at around 4:00 Monday morning but was cleared by around 4:45 a.m..
