KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The suspect in a Kalamazoo shooting that left five wounded has been arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says 19-year-old Naledge Quincy Lovon Williams Chamberlain was taken into custody Wednesday on a 25-count felony warrant issued by the Kalamazoo County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The shootings happened September 20 shooting at Two Fellas Grill on West Michigan Avenue.
KDPS detectives sought assistance from the 5th District Michigan State Police Fugitive and Technical Services teams, who discovered that Chamberlain had fled Michigan. MSP investigators worked with the St. Paul Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which executed a search warrant earlier Wednesday morning with support from the department’s SWAT team.
Chamberlain was taken into custody without incident and is being held in Minnesota pending extradition to Michigan.
KDPS Chief David Boysen said the arrest reflects the commitment of partner agencies across state lines.
