CENTREVILE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 64-year-old White Pigeon man is in custody after making a threat Friday against staff at the St. Joseph County Courthouse.
Sheriff Chad Spence says due to the rapid and coordinated efforts of law enforcement agencies, courthouse staff, and the Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was safely apprehended without incident. The man was found in possession of a firearm.
He is currently lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of making terrorist threats.
Spence says the Sheriff’s office was assisted by the St. Joseph Valley Special Response Team, Three Rivers Police Department, White Pigeon Police, and St. Joseph County 911 Central Dispatch.
