CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Two persons were injured early Friday morning in a two vehicle crash on eastbound I-94 near the I-69 overpass in Calhoun County.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to an unknown single vehicle crash at about 3:52 a.m..
They say a second eastbound vehicle crashed into the first vehicle which had blocked both lanes after crashing into the guardrail.
A total of four occupants were involved. Two were injured in the second vehicle and taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for further assessment and treatment.
According to a Sheriff’s Department news release, alcohol is believed to being a factor for the first vehicle crash.
The driver of the first vehicle was investigated, arrested, and lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office will continue investigating the crash.
They assisted by Marshall Police Department, the Michigan State Police, LifeCare Ambulance, the Marshall Township Fire Department, and Bud’s Towing.
