CENTREVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — No injuries were reported from an accident involving a vehicle that struck a house in St. Joseph County Friday.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 16-year-old female driver of Constantine was traveling north on Lutz Road around 10:45 a.m. when she swerved to avoid another northbound vehicle.
She then went off the roadway to the right, hitting a residence, causing significant damage to the structure.
Authorities say no one was in the house at the time and that alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was cited for traffic violations related to speed.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Three Rivers Fire and Rescue and Three Rivers Ambulance.
