BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Battle Creek-area might be the next place a Chick-fil-A restaurant pops up in southwest Michigan.
Officials in Emmett Township say a variance has been requested for a location in the 6000 block of ‘B’ Drive North, which was the former site of a Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant.
Known for their chicken sandwiches, and based out of Atlanta, Georgia, the company has apparently been eyeing the location and is now taking steps for construction. There’s no word yet on when the new Chick-fil-A would open.
The popular chain has over 2,600 locations, with 18 operating in Michigan. There are currently two Chick-fil-A locations in the Kalamazoo area, including one in Portage and another that opened at W. Main and Drake Rd. back in January.
